When Diane sings her first song at the recording studio, the drummer is wearing a white shirt with ruffles and places a lit cigarette in his ear to save it until the end of the song. When she sings her second song, the faraway shots show the drummer in a red jacket with no cigarette, but the closeups are from the first song, and show him in the white shirt with the cigarette in his ear.
With respect to the already reported group of the drummer wearing different clothing between shots and the cigarette in ear, it is the case that several of the other musicians are dressed differently and their clothing alternates between shots. Clearly these were two sessions interspersed with one another.
