This is the "Laugh-In" ep that showcases Tyrone & Gladys' big day...or does it?

Special guest star Carol Channing returns just in time to sing (with Tiny Tim) at Tyrone and Gladys' wedding! And many of the skits reference just that! So the event indeed arrives, presided over by Henry Gibson's priest character...but at the last moment, they both walk away after they arrive at the place they were supposed to wed! Both reunite at the bench and basically forgive each other with Gladys once again hitting Tyrone with her purse and he slowing falling over! So things are back to normal...except starting the next season, some cast members will be gone. In fact, Judy Carne had already left, and Goldie Hawn was noticeably absent from both the Cocktail Party and the "news" theme song these past two eps. And she did a skit about being "pre-recorded" in this one. I'm guessing by this time, she was in London shooting There's a Girl in My Soup with Peter Sellers who, incidentally, was in some pre-taped skits here as well including one with Goldie herself...And Goldie was the last one seen in the post-credits scene with her doing a cheer misspelling this show's very name...This was as good as any ep to end a season of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" on...
