After Linc discovers his job in South America is a scam, he returns to Tampa to find that Tod, now married to Margo, has been killed by drowning in Tampa Bay. Both Margo and Linc accuse her aunt and uncles in arranging Tod's murder, Linc's suspicion in that he now recognizes Michael as the person who arranged the non-existent job. While the authorities do recognize that the aunt and uncles do have motive, they have no proof of Margo's claim. That becomes a moot point when Tod emerges alive, and is ultimately reunited with both Linc and Margo without the aunt and uncles' knowledge. The three decide to trust Monty in getting back at the aunt and uncles where it will hurt them the most, namely in the pocketbook in the form of the $4 million of Alexander's estate. Trusting Monty may or may not be a good idea as Monty is an old time swindler himself. Meanwhile, Otis, Michael, Samantha and Leon decide on the surface to share the $4 million equally whoever gets it, while under the surface working their own individual magic on Monty in getting the money all for him or herself. Samantha, as a woman who can use her feminine wiles, may have the upper hand in this matter.
