- Tod talks with a murderer in a train station, as Tod & Buz await a maid of honor for a wedding. The convict is back here in his hometown, being transferred to a distant prison, and pleads with Tod to bring his brother to the terminal, because no one in his family will visit him. Tod is touched by the bereft man, so he cabs to the brother's home, while Buz heads to the wedding.—David Stevens
- In Cleveland, Ohio, Tod, Buz and Emily, Buz's date, will be attending a wedding. While Buz and Emily are at the wedding site to explain the situation to the bride, groom and wedding party in giving them the pertinent information if they want to delay the ceremony, Tod is at the train station waiting for Emily's cousin Helen, the maid of honor and Tod's blind date for the event, who is delayed three hours in arriving into town from Chicago. In doing what he thinks is an innocent enough favor while he is waiting, Tod gets taken hostage by Justin Lezama, a convict being transferred. Serving two consecutive ninety-nine year sentences for a double murder, Lezama is completely desensitized to the plight of anyone other than himself, he willing to kill anyone - men, women, children - to get what he wants. He needs someone to help him, in this case Tod, to drive him around, so he is as dependent upon Tod as much as Tod wants to protect innocent lives. No one in their general environment knows who Lezama is or that Tod is his hostage. As Tod drives him to where he wants to go while trying to find a means of safe escape, Tod learns a little more of his story and perhaps why he is the way he is.—Huggo
