Summaries

  • Tod and Buz travel to Squaw Valley, California for "some work and some fun". They barely settle in on their new jobs at the Squaw Valley Ski Lodge when the dead body of a female skier is found out on the slopes. The perpetrator, a mentally defective guest at the lodge, goes undetected and may seek another victim.—dubchi
  • Beyond their work as a member of the ski patrol and as a ski rental assistant respectively, Tod and Buz are hoping to fit in some fun down time during their stay at Squaw Valley, California. Buz is attracted to his boss, Penny Foster, who is married to world class ski jumper, Harvey Foster. It isn't until after she is clear to Buz that she is married that he learns that Harvey died a year ago, she using her married status as an excuse to shoot down any man in her life as a social hermit. Shortly after Tod and Buz's arrival at the ski resort, the dead body of skier Shirley Hughes is found up on the slopes, she who was murdered. Despite one of Shirley's friends reporting her missing earlier, ski patrol did not conduct a search for her as there was no evidence that she was missing at the time, especially since she had a reputation as much for her on the slopes prowess as her off the slopes pursuits behind closed doors. No one knows that the murderer is ski lodge guest Armand Fontaine. Facing psychological issues, Armand spends much of his time trying to woo Penny, who could very well be his next victim as she has a striking physical resemblance to Shirley, and to the woman in the photograph he carries around.—Huggo
