Near the beginning of this episode, Maria puts one single drop of an herbal remedy on top of Liz's tongue. Then tells Liz anytime she's spiraling out of control to put four drops under her tongue, administered much like nitroglycerin (for heart issues) or CBD/THC tinctures (for pain). The single drop on top of Liz's tongue would not have been effective even if it normally worked when administered correctly.
During the first scene after the opening credits, Max and Michael are seen together by a rural train track. Michael throws a stone at a passing train, and just after he does so, you can see the black battery pack of Brendan Fehr's microphone fall from the waistband of his jeans to the ground behind him.
