- TriviaThe creators disliked the idea of excess violence showing people being shot; the end result is that, despite the fact both the good and bad guys pull blaster pistols in almost every episode, no person is actually ever shot. Instead, Rocky and company resort to good old fashion punching and throwing objects...this didn't include spaceships, however. The creators had no problem with implied violence, as long as no person was seen dying.

Unfortunately, the final 3-parter is a clip show (part 1)
On the vaguely Orientalist world of Ankapor, Rocky's old enemies Griff, Rudy DiMarco, and Dr. Reno set a trap for the intrepid space ranger, setting him up to face harsh Ankaporian justice for brawling, theft, and space-piracy. With Biff, Bobby, and Vena confined to the Silver Moon and the only witness to Rocky's innocence, the loquacious self-referencing Pinto Vortando, smuggled off-world, Rocky maybe be headed to the gallows (or the Ankaporian equivalent). This is part one of the final story arc in the Rocky Jones series and is a bit of a disappointment after the interstellar adventures in the previous 'Out of this World' 3-parter. None of the three villains in this saga are particularly interesting and the opening events simply set up the titular 'trial', which seems pretty trivial after the existential threats the Ranger and his team have faced in previous story-lines.
