Murray gets into a red Ford 4 door hard top, then in the next scene he meets Becker at handball in a 4 door post sedan.
When Murray starts out to follow Rockford, he is driving a red 1970 Ford, but at the 39:55 mark it becomes a red Buick as it rounds the corner, then becomes the red Ford again.
