It cost the network $12,000 for the re-broadcast on 4/11/55. That was the rerun price for the performers, writer and technicians involved in the original production.
This show was repeated 4/11/55 when the episode originally planned to be performed ("The Great Gatsby") was postponed because of the star's sickness.
For the 4/11/55 re-broadcast, two copies of the kinescope were required by the network. (Both run simultaneously. In the event that one malfunctions, the network can switch to the other.) Producers tracked down a back-up copy at a Bronx center for the elderly. They had donated it to the organization months earlier.
