In #3.1, "The Sport" - At approximately 2:13 - 2:32 Mary Tyler Moore as Sam is seen from the side seated at the switchboard from the waist up. Her face is not completely visible, but you see the side of her face slightly from the back and to her left. The lighting is from up and to her front/right, putting her face's left side in shadow. Her body is turned left a bit toward the camera for obvious reasons. It is great that you could at least see part of her face during her lines. At 3:33 she is shown from the same angle but up closer from chest to nose. At 24:06 - 24:26 she is again shown this time with a very tight face close-up that shows her front-left face focused on her nose and mouth with her head-set mouthpiece casting shadow on her chin. While still delightfully mysterious, this adds more to Sam's character.
