This Rawhide story has Eric Fleming his cattle and his drovers coming up against John Ireland, Brock Peters and their hired laborers who have dammed up a stream and are in a pass that the trail drive normally uses. Gil Favor's cattle are thirsty and thirsty cattle are not easy to handle or are easily discouraged from water.
Ireland and Davis are on an archaeological dig after the remains of a Spanish expedition which was massacred a couple of hundred years ago. They might have been carrying treasure, there might be proof of the legendary Seven Cities of Cibola, who knows. But Eric Fleming has a thirsty herd and he's not a patient man as viewers of Rawhide know.
Let's just say reason and good sense prevail in this one. Ireland has a lot more to him and Peters is a handy fellow to have around.
