Crude production
At the time when this series was shown at on tv, it was my favorite. On seeing these episodes again now, I see how crudely they were staged. The scenes in camp were done indoors on a sound stage with a phony backdrop. The battle scenes were done with actors who didn't know how to aim a rifle or pistol. One of the tribes wears a war bonnet straight out of those wild west shows from before movies were invented. The stunt work reminds me of what we did as boys.
However, Eastwood does a good job acting after the Gill Favor actor had died.
