Jack Klugman in Quincy, M.E. (1976)

Goofs

Murder by S.O.P.

Quincy, M.E.

Edit

Continuity

After failing to convince the town doctor or sheriff that a murder has taken place Quincy pulls into a petrol (gas) station to speak to the town coroner. When he gets out of the car the door nearly strikes one of the pumps but after speaking to the coroner/pump attendant he gets back into his car much more easily, due to the fact that the car has moved back around three feet.
When Carl's car goes over the cliff it rolls on its top and slides.

When Quincy arrives to inspect it the car is on its wheels and there aren't any gouges on the roof.

The roof damage is distributed evenly and does match damage from a car that flipped over as the first corner of impact would be more compressed.

Factual errors

The mayor tells Quincy the sheriff will assist. Mayors have jurisdiction over a city while a sheriff has jurisdiction over a county.

So neither can tell the other what to do.
Quincy is talking to a Congressman about changing state laws.
