Episode 510 "What if I lose him? What am I gonna do?" ~Debbie

This episode was amazing, possibly the best episode of the entire series. Things start out promising but quickly head for the worst. A fundraiser goes completely wrong and ends in a shocking injury (and possible death.) The acting is amazing. The script was utter perfection and the final few minutes left my mouth agape. The series has always been leading in this direction. I'm so happy that we finally got exactly what we were waiting for. Breathtaking, stunning, and just incredible. This is quite possibly the best hour of television ever, bringing together so many characters and doing such a superb job with the execution. I can't wait to see how it all ends!

Warning: Spoilers
I am slightly torn on this episode. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, since the high rating I give it but I have a little problem and will come to it later I find the explosion to be a great event so close to the end of the show. It is a great way to end it with so much action and emotions happening.

Everyone's actions after it were great. Drew running to find Emmett and telling the reporter that he cares about people's lives more than about his career was a great scene. So was Brian running into Babylon, looking for Justin while seeing all the horror and blood around him. And him yelling to find Michael brought tears to my eyes Seeing Michael being carried to the ambulance was very dramatic as well and hearing about all the injuries he had makes one worry that the end may not be as happy as we would hope.

Brian wanting to donate blood and not being able to was another amazing scene. It was a great performance by everyone: Gale Harold, Robert Gant and Sharon Gless. Seeing them all awaiting the results holds one on the edge and seeing Debbie and Brian in the chapel is also a beautiful scene.

Brian confessing his love to Jusin, seeing them hugging and Justin smile in happiness and disbelief was amazing, just as seeing Mel asking Lindsay to get to bed with her was a beautiful comforting scene with great work by all actors.

My only small issue is that I feel that getting both Justin/Brian and Mel/Lindsay back together because of the explosion is slightly lazy. They had different issues that had to be worked on and yet they both got back together because they realized how horrible it would be if the other one died. At the same time it is very easy to understand them in this situation and makes it very believable. Because of this, great acting, amazing scenes and a well thought through script this episode is definitely one of the best.
