Goofs

The Curse of Ptah-Hotep - March 2, 1957

Quantum Leap

Edit

Continuity

When Sam starts to break through the false door, his kerchief is around his neck. Without stopping his pounding, it is suddenly covering his nose.

Factual errors

Ptah-Hotep is an actual pharaoh from Egyptian history. Contrary to Al's statements in the episode, though, his tomb had long since been discovered. The tomb is also some 800 km north of the Aswan Dam, the construction of which Al claims destroys the tomb.

Revealing mistakes

At the beginning, when Sam and Ginny come up from the tomb the first time, Al awaits them on top of the stairs, clearly throwing a shadow. Being a hologram, he should not produce any shadow at all.
When Sam is trying to break through the false door, you can see the wire mesh used to create the plaster wall. This wire mesh would not have been available for use in ancient Egypt during creation of this tomb, but definitely would be used for creation of the set wall.

Boom mic visible

About six minutes in as Sam and Al are walking across the camp, the boom mic shadow is visible on the dirt in the lower left of the frame.
