Michael T. Weiss in The Pretender (1996)

Goofs

Every Picture Tells a Story

The Pretender

Edit

Continuity

At the end of the episode we see Jarod preparing to drive a Formula One race car. We will see this again later in the series, however Jarod seems to have no memory of the previous occasion.

Factual errors

Parker says that the Unibomber was caught by "A letter to Mommy". It was actually his brother who recognized his writings from his Manifesto and called the FBI.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

At the end, when Poole gets promoted to Lieutenant Commander, she has the correct insignia on her shoulder epaulet, but still has Lieutenant insignia on her cap. Not a goof: Poole was promoted literally seconds earlier, and it is common to change the headgear insignia after the promotion ceremony.

Miscellaneous

The commanding officer was wearing captain's shoulder boards, but everyone kept referring to him as Commander.
When Jarrod first looks at news articles about the drowning, the first article says San Diego. The second article has a header location of Pretoria, South Africa.
