- Walt Shepherd: I've got to get to the lab.
- Matthew Star: No, Shep, you tell me what you need, I'll go get it.
- Walt Shepherd: No, you'd have to bring the whole lab.
- Matthew Star: Well, there's gotta be more than just the two of us on this planet with fifteen ribs.
- Walt Shepherd: With two hearts, and a pulse rate of twelve beats a minute?
- Pam Elliott: Matthew, I feel like a gangster's girlfriend. You call me up in the middle of the night to come pick you up on some street corner and drive you all the way across town. Now I know somethings happening but you just won't come clean and tell me.
- Matthew Star: Pam, I'll make it up to you, I promise.
- Pam Elliott: Well, take care of yourself...
- Police Officer: What's your name?
- Matthew Star: John Davis...
- Police Officer: What were you doing in there?
- Police Officer: Eh, I heard a noise when I was walking by here and I thought somebody was trying to rob the place...
- Matthew Star: [interrupting] Sure, you're the Lone Ranger without his mask, huh?
- Matthew Star: Officer, I thought I was doing the right thing here. Eh.. would it be all right if I go now?
- Police Officer: Yeah, as long as it's into that squad car. You're under arrest.
- Dr. Jerry Linsey: Baker, what's happening?
- Dr. Baker: He flipped the wrong switch on a garbage truck. The thing tried to eat him. What's with you?
- Dr. Stewart: Excuse me, I'm looking for one of your patients, Shepherd, Mr. Walter Shepherd? You sent his blood sample up.
- Dr. Baker: You're looking for him too? We're all looking for him. That's right, he's gone.
- Dr. Stewart: Gone? Bu... that's impossible. Eh... the man shouldn't even be alive. Eh, I-I've got to find him right away.
- Dr. Baker: You want him, you find him. I've got patients who need my help.
- Matthew Star: Well, I'm telling you, you're violating his rights.
- Dr. Baker: I'm trying to save his life, that's what I'm doing. Look, I don't have time to waste, I've got half a dozen red blankets in there and believe me, I'd much rather work on the ones who wanna be treated. The law doesn't give me that choice.
