The 15th episode (January 2 1993) was the last first-run episode broadcast before the show's abrupt cancellation. Caitlyn is having a fit out of sheer boredom, until her mother suggests a visit to their favorite salon. At first, Caitlyn is embarrassed about her new, short hairstyle emphasizing her ears, but after a few days, Margaret and Theodore are surprised to see her become something of a born-again Christian, reading the Bible after seeing how Jesus never had a 'bad hair day.' Husband Theodore and son Pierce both enjoy the sudden change, but once she gives her car away to a homeless bum, Bill decides it's time to take notice. Charlotte, suffering an injured neck due to Margaret's unwanted interference, is miraculously cured when Caitlyn simply touches her neck, but when Bradley gets the Senator a spot on OPRAH with Caitlyn (about parents with children involved with cults), the realization that millions of people are going to see her on television brings back the old, vain, self-serving Caitlyn. Margaret believes that her husband goes to church every Sunday, but that's the day that he regularly spends with the sexy Jordan (Bill: "I'm not gonna let anything ruin my day!" Sophie: "uh, too late Senator, I got Margaret here on the phone!"). By the time the next episode was scheduled for broadcast, the show was unceremoniously yanked off the air, returning only for a few weeks during the summer to air the unshown entries on Saturday nights at 10:30PM, the worst possible timeslot that NBC could find (and they only managed to show 4 of the 5 half hours left).
