Episode 5 "Kiss Me Caitlyn"
This 5th episode takes up where its predecessor leaves off, with Joe Bowman (Craig Bierko) taking a stand against dirty politics (Bill: "you're still gonna go on television with me and talk about honesty and decency, when just sitting in that wheelchair makes you a liar?" Joe: "is this a great country or what!"). Once everyone has learned the truth, Bowman tries to entice Jordan away from Senator Powers, without success (Joe: "you wanna play for a winner?" Jordan: "I'd rather brush my teeth with a brick!"). The Senator's daughter Caitlyn proves to be a much easier target for Bowman's phony advances (Caitlyn: "nobody talks to me that way, not even my husband!"). She later turns her attentions to husband Theodore, who's not used to a sexy wife in bed, imploring him not to be gentle (Caitlyn: "I was hoping we could do something...together...in bed!" Theodore: "oh, is it next month already?"). When President Bush decides to honor the Senator's pledge for 'goodness in government,' Margaret is delighted at being seated at the head of the table. Charlotte pops in briefly, wearing a nun's habit (Charlotte: "a little mix-up at the dry cleaners!" Bill: "you look very nice Charlotte!" Charlotte: "bless you sir!"). Stopping at the office afterwards, Bill is surprised when his suddenly passionate wife makes the moves on him, inspired by a night in the White House. While Theodore relaxes in bed by reading "Final Exit," a book about suicide ("tried it...tried it...as if that's going to work!"), Caitlyn starts receiving amorous phone calls from Bowman, who wants her to come to him (to be continued...). Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Pierce is the only cast member not in this episode.
