At 8:27 Perry is seen walking through the courthouse wearing a spread collar shirt and a white handkerchief in his breast pocket. At 8:31 he turns and is now wearing a tab collar shirt and the handkerchief is missing. In fact, the entire breast pocket of his suit has disappeared.
During James Douglas' (Jerry Van Dyke) testimony, he stops talking when Hamilton Burger is supposed to interrupt him. But Burger is slow to speak, meaning Douglas' half-finished sentence hangs in silence for an extended time.
Halfway through the show, Paul Drake is speaking with Miss Moray in her New Orleans hotel room. He grabs the newspaper off her bed... the headline reads, "Patent Medicine Baby Loses Stone Fortune." This particular issue, it is believed, belongs to The Case of the Nebulous Nephew (1963). Paul also scolds Miss Moray for not knowing that Bain's wife is dead, saying that the story has already been in the local (New Orleans) papers. Yet, the newspaper he gathers to show her is the good old "Los Angeles Chronicle."
