The ship the characters are sailing on is called the " Westminster", but the name on the prow of the (obvious model) ship in distance shots appears to be "Pacific King"
In some scenes the ship is shown to have short thick funnels (smoke stacks) while in others the funnels are tall and thin.
There's a storm when the action takes place on the ship. The image tilts back and forth to reflect the pitching of the ship. But the ship is big and so wouldn't pitch much. The characters don't change their posture to remain vertical as the ship pitches. Instead they tilt along with the ship, so it's clear that only the camera is tilting.
The ship is shown tossing violently in the storm, but the interior scenes show a gentle rocking to and fro. In addition , the liquid in the glasses in the bar is perfectly stationary and shows no evidence of motion, not gentle rocking let alone violent tossing.
When the Captain steps into the ship's hallway, he asks two men to step into a cabin to witness the ship's purser counting a large sum of money that was found in a money belt; however, while counting, the purser just moves the cash around in his hands, clearly not counting it, and the two men don't even watch the purser at all.
If packets of money are still banded, it's quite easy to do a count of the money, if you assume the bands are correct, by moving the cash around in your hands. The purser clearly counts some packets, and some individual bills in his hands.

Paul Drake investigates the case of Morgan Shreves, but fails to obtain a booking or public photo of him, which would have made it easy to identify him in the courtroom instead of the dramatic way he was unmasked during the cross-examination of Evelyn Whiting.
