When Perry is having tea with Grace Runyon, she pours more tea into his cup even though he hasn't drunk any of it. When he leaves, he still hasn't drunk any tea but his cup is empty or nearly empty. Correction: After Perry sets his cup on the table and leaves, the camera zooms in on Mrs. Runyon, and the cup is seen to easily be at least half full.
The picture of Jimmy in the newspaper the day after the theft of the cross is a still taken from a frame of the epilogue. Jimmy is wearing the same jacket that he wears in the epilogue and a portion of the bust in Perry's office can be seen in the background of the photo. Jimmy had never been in Perry's office at the time of the theft.
When Perry goes down into the cellar to talk to Jimmy, the sky behind him is obviously painted on wood or canvas on wood. The seams between the boards are visible.
Before Karr enters Mason's office, Mason and Della are looking at a newspaper article about Jimmy Morrow. The headline refers to the theft of the cross, but the first line in the article says that Morrow is being sought in relation to the "murder of Karr". This is inconsistent. Moreover, Karr is alive at this point in the story, and even at the end -- Karr is actually not the victim in this episode.
