Raymond Burr, Ray Collins, and Vaughn Taylor in Perry Mason (1957)

Goofs

The Case of the Fickle Fortune

Perry Mason

Edit

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

It seems implausible that the Los Angeles County tax office would send just one person to audit the belongings in a house the size of the one Duncan is auditing.

Actually, it's not uncommon especially in small or busy government offices. A competent investigator can audit a house that size in about a week.

Miscellaneous

When Mason is cross-examining one of the witnesses, he misuses the word "infer," using it instead of "imply." While this is a common grammatical error, it is very unusual for Mason. Note that this error also occurred in The Case of the Angry Dead Man (1961).

Character error

When Nurse Hamilton indicates that someone had come to visit Mr. Ames twice, she uses the term 'this person', instead of 'this woman' or 'this man' - which would be the normal way to answer Mason's question. The obvious reason is to hide the gender of the person in question.
