- TriviaDr. Morgan (Troy Donahue) tells Patty Lane (Patty Duke) that he is going to Africa to help Albert Schweitzer. While Schweitzer was still alive at the time that the episode was filmed, he died on September 4, 1965, only 18 days before this episode was aired, at the age of 90. As a result, his name was bleeped out for initial network showings.
- GoofsCathy walks in during the kitchen scene where Patty is explaining puppy love to Richard. She first walks right-to-left with her double's facial profile exposed. She then returns walking left-to-right with her double's full face exposed, clearly showing it is not Patty Duke.
- Quotes
Patty Lane: [sighs] How can I ever thank you, Doctor?
Dr. Morgan: By taking a nap. I want you to get plenty of rest before the operation tomorrow.
Patty Lane: Okay. But you know what you just did? You saved my reputation.
[sighs]
Dr. Morgan: Reputation?
Patty Lane: As the biggest liar in Brooklyn Heights High School. Oh, boy. What am I going to tell the kids when I get back to school?
Dr. Morgan: Well, I imagine a girl as talented as you can think of something. Why don't you tell them you dumped me?
Patty Lane: Mm-mm. They've seen you.
Dr. Morgan: Well, you could tell them, uh...
Patty Lane: I've got it! The letter...
Dr. Morgan: What letter?
Patty Lane: The letter from Dr. Schweitzer inviting you to come to his jungle hospital and work with him. What choice did I have? I couldn't keep you from dedicating your life to such a worthy cause. So I decided to be noble and give you up to the world. We discussed it, like intelligent, sophisticated, civilized people, and came to the only conclusion possible: that each of us must go on his own way, pursue his own life, knowing that a broken heart will mend in time.
