In the Brick, Maurice is taking to Ruth Ann's son Matthew about a business venture as Matthew is tying fishing lures. At one point he cuts a piece off the fly. As he continues his conversation, the shot switches back and forth between Matthew and Maurice. The piece is cut is one shot, and still there in the other.
