- R.L. Stine: [closing narration] Childhood can be a magical time when birthday wishes really do come true. But eventually, we grow up and put our toys away. That's what Dylan Pierce tried to do. If only he stored them somewhere else and not in the Nightmare Room.
- Ryan: Hey, how dumb is that? Being allergic to strawberries. Why couldn't I be allergic to broccoli? Or math?
- Dylan Pierce: Well, I don't want to put anything in my room that could possibly be confused with a toy, you know? 'Cause those days are over.
- Ryan: Yeah, Dylan...
- [pats his back]
- Ryan: Today, you're a man.
- [both burst out laughing]
- Beth: So what happens if your sister hates college? Would you have to move back into your old room?
- Dylan Pierce: No. Are you joking; no. The room is mine, you know? Once I'm in I'm in, and if she doesn't like it she can sleep outside.
- Beth: She's so lucky to have such a loving brother.
