Warning: Spoilers
We get to meet Nanna Nettie (Tony winning Broadway veteran Marilyn Cooper), Fran's paternal grandmother whom the still unseen Morty moves in with when Sylvia throws him out. Obviously a lover of all things pink, Nettie is as deliciously eccentric as Grandma Yetta, seen briefly with Nettie. There's some minor subplot involving Fran's need to let go of Gracie who wants to start doing things by herself.

But the episode belongs to Marilyn Cooper, whose distinctive voice had audiences in stitches for her cameo in "Woman of the Year", stealing her one scene away from star Lauren Bacall. Cooper, whose career went back to the mid 50's in shows like "West Side Story" and "Gypsy" (and pretty much the leading lady in the 1962 musical "I Can get it for you Wholesale" should have been a recurring character on "The Nanny" because she is a nice contrast to both Grandma Yetta whom it is obvious that she has a friendly, if sarcastic relationship with, and daughter-in-law Sylvia, whom she obviously doesn't like very much. The biggest laugh comes from the entrance into Nettie's apartment, one of the funniest sets in the show's history.
