Summaries

  • Sipowicz and Sorenson investigate the murder of a drug dealer, while Sorenson continues to see the stripper, Kristen, who draws him into a favor for the owners of the Tailfeathers club.

Synopsis

  • Danny Sorensen and Kristen (an exotic dancer he met during a double-murder investigation the previous week) have begun sleeping together, angering a loser customer who is angry that all of the tips and drinks he's bought for Kristen are being ignored, but leading club owner Joey Shulman to as Danny to do a non-legal background check on the club's bartender Pete McNeil. Danny talks the entreaty over with Lt. Tony and they agree Danny will start undercover work at the mobbed-up club once Tony gets official approval. With Danny barely present and Andy being irritated at him, Connie McDowell becomes Andy's de facto partner when they investigate a double-homicide involving drug dealers. A friend of one of the dead dealers points Andy and Connie towards a pathetic geek named Benjy and a greasy jerk named Jim, and they both talk about an icy blonde named Noelle (a besotted Benjy insists she had nothing to do with the attempted robbery that led to the double murder, while Jim snarls that she had sex with him to entice him into trying the robbery in the first place). Noelle turns out to be a sociopath who can't be charged for anything, and she gets away scot-free while Benjy and Jim are off to life sentences in prison. Greg and Baldwin interview a young woman whose husband was murdered by an intruder who demanded drugs and money before she was beaten and tortured. They learn the victims had nothing to do with drugs at all, and the attack was carried out by a psycho looking for revenge against the unimpressive drug dealer who used to live in the apartment before the young couple. Katie Sipowicz finds a great apartment and puts a bid in for it, but Andy says the place isn't good and verbally attacks the broker to give her back the money. Katie later packs up her stuff and tells Andy she's moving out and their planned re-marriage plans are cancelled, though they part on polite terms. Andy gets Danny away from a fight at the strip club and helps Danny find a little sobriety and some peace before he heads home.
