A dangling ending.

They had one of the fairly main characters, that was in the middle of an intersting situation, just disappear. No writing out of the storyline, just zippo, gone for season 4 and beyond. No metion of what happened to this charcter, was this person transferred, or whateverv Just reoved and never metioned again as if this character had never been in the series at all. Very sloppy treatment.

Subdued Ending

Warning: Spoilers
After the intense business with Andy, a double murder seems sort of normal. The thing is that these people were killed in a drug related effort. It all gets back to a woman who trusted a guy who had a brother in the joint. The guys have been close, although one of them has been clean and crime free. Blood is thicker than water. Andy is dealing pretty well. The thing I like about this show is that things aren't glossed over and made simple. Andy has already fallen a couple times and is fragile. John Irving is saying goodbye at the end.
