When Uncle Martin (Ray Walston) visits the site of the jewelry store robbery at night to search for clues, he initially takes out a flashlight and shines it around the room. For some reason, however, the light from the flashlight becomes illumination from an off-screen spotlight masquerading as the flashlight's beam, which no longer is closely coordinated with his movements of the flashlight. Then he illuminates a footprint on the floor and goes to get other materials to preserve it - but the flashlight "beam" remains on the spot even though he turns off the flashlight and leaves it on a counter.
At the start of the episode Uncle Martin is reading a newspaper with the banner front page on the back of the section.
24:35 Martin tells Tim he put a lock on his transmitter. He should have said receiver.
