If ever an episode showed off Kris Marshall as Nick, it's this one, and the rise of the character as the shows break out is now very apparent.
He shines in every scene, if anything Ben and Susan are his stooges, and it makes for a wonderfully funny episode.
It's a great script, it's all beautifully played.
It's no surprise that in the next series Marshall would be promoted to having his name after the opening credits along with Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker.
