A 30-year-old murder in Coral City, a Miami suburb, starts a series of crimes clearly connected to the possible role of mobster Santo Angelini in the murder of president J.F. Kennedy, leaving him vulnerable to extortion. Jessica pushes local police chief Thurman Gillis and the initially equally reluctant FBI to take the case seriously. Crucial are the negatives of some photos taken by two detective partners, Charlie Garrett, who seems bent on making a profit now, and Bernie Callan, the man found dead.
