Butch Patrick and Pat Priest in The Munsters (1964)

Goofs

Herman's Sorority Caper

The Munsters

Edit

Continuity

Possible continuity error: after Lily, Herman, Grandpa, and Marilyn (in that order) go into the house after coming home from the drive-in, someone (not clear) behind it closes it after Marilyn enters. Immediately afterwards, Herman hiccups; the shutters fall off, and a light drops. Inside, Herman, Lily, Grandpa and Marilyn shake off the plaster that's fallen on them. Herman, Lily, and Grandpa then move further inside to the front room while Marilyn hangs up Grandpa's cloak. Eddie comes downstairs and expresses dismay at his Dad having the hiccups.

Who was behind the front door to close it? It couldn't have been Eddie, as he would have been there to get showered with plaster dust, and wouldn't have come down the stairs. There wasn't a visiting family member or a friend. This looks like a continuity error.

Character error

Herman's height has been given variously, but always well over 7'-0" tall, and his weight has been given (to the police, no less!) as something like 350 lbs; therefore, the two skinny college boys ( one of was Eddie Haskell) could never have lifted him out of bed, taken him to their vehicle, and hidden him in a sorority house, completely unaided and undiscovered.
