Excitable conspiracy theorist Tommy (a lively performance by Will Wheaton) tries to convince his skeptical friend Tommy (a likeable portrayal by Matt LeBlanc) that the two fellows who run an old-fashioned barbershop are actually vampires in disguise.
Director John Strysik keeps the engrossing and enjoyable story moving along at a snappy pace as well as ably crafts a spooky mood. The clever script by Dan Simmons not only offers a fascinating exploration of vampire mythology and history along with a neat explanation on how vampires tie into the barber's guild, but also provides a pleasingly dark twist at the climax. John O'Leary and Al Mancini are both suavely sinister perfection as a pair of barbers who are harboring a seriously twisted secret. Spot-on stylish cinematography by Karen Grossman, too. An on the money show.
