When Stottlemeyer is talking to Marty's mom on the phone, the desktop computer to Marty's right disappears and reappears between shots.

When Marty Eels first arrives at the murder scene and gives the officer his ID, a redheaded background performer is shown behind him. She would be approximately 20 feet behind his car. When the camera cuts to Eels walking toward the Captain, the redhead is now standing beside the front of Eels' car.

The position of the dead security guard's body changes every time the camera cuts back to it. When it is first seen, it is parallel to the painted parking spot lines, then it's either seen at a diagonal between the lines, at a diagonal on top of a line, and finally it's back to being parallel with the lines.

When Stottlemeyer and Eels finish questioning Eddie Dial, an officer hands a paper to Stottlemeyer that he signs with a pen. He drops the pen on a desk after he is done. When the desk is next shown, the pen is gone.

When Mr. Monk searches for Julie's camera, in one shot the front door is cracked open, but in the next shot it is closed.

After finding Julie's camera, Natalie reaches under something to answer her phone before its first ring.

Natalie is kneeling down talking to Monk. The phone rings - it's a very soft ring, barely heard, but it definitely rings before Natalie reaches for it and answers it.

After it emerges that the jewels are hidden in a water tower in the state park, Stottlemeyer tells Disher to contact Dunlop in the Parks Department and "Tell him to bring some shovels." They wouldn't need shovels to find jewels in a water tower.

When Monk, Natalie, and Marty are at the carnival, when Natalie says "Well, you were two hours ago," her mouth doesn't move when she speaks.

While Monk is talking to Dr. Kroger, he said the police sidelined him because the "other detective" was "on a roll," but the Captain actually said he was "in the zone". While those two phrases are essentially synonymous, that is not an error hyper-perfectionist Monk would make.

It is uncharacteristic of Monk to give Eels all the credit for figuring out where his mother was. Instead, he could have commended him for his bravery for wading into a raging current at night while he, Monk, stayed behind.
