Robert Catrini in Monk (2002)

Goofs

Mr. Monk Bumps His Head

Monk

Edit

Continuity

Roger Zisk's BMW is initially shown with a Platte County, Wyoming license plate on the front, but in subsequent shots, the car has California plates on both the front and rear.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

At the end, Cora is standing outside holding her cat, while Lt. Randy Disher, Captain Leland Stottlemeyer, and Natalie Teeger are standing a few feet from her, but Randy doesn't have an allergic reaction. In Mr. Monk and the Missing Granny (2004)(#2.13) he said he was allergic to cats.

But Disher is standing on the passenger side of the car with Stottlemeyer on the driver's side, both never moving from those locations, and he is never closer than about 30 feet from Cora.
When Cora goes upstairs after telling Monk she will meet him in the bedroom, her cat looks at Monk in a close shot, but in the wide shots before and after, the cat is asleep in the chair.

The cat was not asleep in the chair. Monk had just sat on the cat before the conversation with Cora, and then afterward, the cat is clearly awake and looking at the fireplace.
[5:50] The truck driver (Gregg Daniel) tells Adrian Monk that if he gets caught with a civilian in the back of his truck, he'd lose his insurance. The trucker was not military, so the term for Monk wouldn't be "civilian" - it would simply be "passenger" or "rider."

But people in certain professions, including truck drivers, often refer to people who are not in the same profession or the same company as "civilians." It's quite common in some parts of the country.

Errors in geography

When Cora is sitting on the bench watching Monk have lunch, there is a sign on the window behind her with a telephone number showing an (805) area code which is southern California. This is supposedly Wyoming which has an area code of (307) for the entire state. See filming locations.
