Having decided to stay at Glenbogle to sort out the financial mess he's found, Archie's hopes of a short trip to London to see his fiancée and sort out their business affairs are dashed when the family's banker, Mr. Fleming, suddenly arrives. It seems that Archie's father hasn't been responding to the bank's correspondence and has in fact been filing the letters in a drawer, unopened. The situation is grim: they are heavily in debt and unless they can make a payment of £100,000 in a week's time, the bank will call in its loan. Archie soon rallies all of the staff in their attempt to charm Fleming into helping them out. Molly on the other hand places a rather large bet on Katrina to win the annual foot race but Archie has entered as well and the rivalry - and attraction- between the Archie and Katrina seems to be growing.
