Mission: Impossible (1966)

Goofs

The Bunker: Part 2

Mission: Impossible

Edit

Continuity

As the team is going up the elevator to escape, the level indicator reaches 50 meters, meaning 50 meters to reach the surface. Just before Jim says "only about a minute left", the level indicator is at 70 meters again.

Factual errors

Most of the readings on the various gauges and meters building up to the explosion have nothing to do with a fuel mix. They are electrical and electronic values.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Rollin as Dr. Devery diagnoses Dr. Rojak's condition as subvalvular muscular hydrotrophy. There is no such medical condition.

REPLY: No, there isn't. But it is unlikely that any of the military personnel in the bunker know that--the only medical doctor there says that he's not a heart specialist. Rollin is using medical-sounding jargon to throw them off-balance and make them easier to manipulate.

Revealing mistakes

The clock in the control room was manufactured in Indiana. It is unlikely that a country behind the iron curtain would import something from the US that can easily be obtained in Europe or manufactured locally.
When Rojak is removing the screw, he uses both hands, yet he still holds a pencil in his right hand.

Crew or equipment visible

Strings are clearly visible on hovercraft when it is going through the air duct.
