DVDs and many online Episode Guides often incorrectly place this episode as the last in the 2nd series of Minder. This is due to it being the final episode of Series 2 to be transmitted in the London area only.
This episode was intended to be the fourth episode in series 2 and was broadcast everywhere outside London as the fourth episode in series 2 on 2nd October 1980. However, it clashed with the first ever 'Thames Telethon', a 10 hour charity show which ran in the Thames/London ITV region on the same date. Consequently London area viewers eventually got to see 'A Lot Of Bull And A Pat On The Back' on 4th December 1980. Clearly the episode 'Caught In The Act, Fact' is the last episode of series 2, as the final scene is definitely an 'end of series cliff hanger'.
