The names of the two feral girls, Lhasa and Rose, are a reference to the biblical Lazarus of Bethany, a figure in the Gospel of John, which describes him being raised by Jesus from the dead.
Seeing as this is a Christmas episode, the traditional boom boom ending and white out at each ad break is replaced with a Christmas postcard and some jingle bells.
The title refers to the code of silence that is taken by members of the Mafia.
Although this was the ninth episode in the third season to be broadcast, it was actually the eighth to be filmed. It was held back so it could be shown during the Christmas season.
