Continuity

Troy drives a Rover 45 with registration plate BX03 ZZG. When Barnaby and Troy learn that Cully may be in mortal danger, they jump into Troy's car and leave the station with a blue rooftop light and siren. But the plate on the car has changed to BU03 ZZG. As they are seen driving with the flashing light and siren, and arriving on-scene, the plate has returned to the original BX03 ZZG.

Revealing mistakes

At multiple points purportedly wild owls perched on branches or flying through the forest are seen to have straps or jesses on their legs indicating they are in fact captive birds brought to the woods for filming.
Apparently, events as portrayed in this program didn't actually happen in real life.

Crew or equipment visible

When Tom kneels to pet the fox at around 6.18 a hand is visible holding the fox near its back legs.
When the K-9 takes down Tom in the woods, a "bite sleeve" used for training dogs can be seen on the actor's left arm.
