When Anna is arrested at the beginning, a closeup of her face shows her glasses are undamaged. Then the police break down the door and in the next closeup of her, the glasses are broken in front of her left eye and remain so for the rest of the scene. Later, it is revealed the glasses were in fact broken in the turmoil during her husband's betrayal some time prior to her arrest.
The Professor's cigarettes clearly have filters, a feature that was not available in the late 19th Century.
At about 2'30" when Inspector Hopkins hands his wet shoes, it appears to be slip-ons or loafers, but the first widely recognized slip-on shoe was the Aurland moccasin, introduced in Norway in the 1930s, so it would not be common in late XIX century.
