During Season One, before becoming a full-blown nighttime soap, while Amy Locane's character Sandy is being written off the show, her last scene is on a cheesy soap opera the group watches on a television set, and they all laugh when Sandy's character wakes up with (and they all sarcastically shout the word) "Amnesia!" Which is a cliche device in all soaps, and that happens here with Michael.
