The Court-Martial: Part 2

Matlock

Edit

Factual errors

At the beginning, Tyler staggers into the barracks and flops down on his rack (bed), his pillow is visible. Pillows are not to be left exposed. A second blanket is to be folded over the pillow and tucked in serving as a 'dust cover'.

Character error

When Tyler is at the supply depot, he and the two soldiers are all wearing their cover (hats). Military personnel do not wear their cover indoors, unless they are wearing a side arm (pistol).
Several of the soldiers wear their sleeves rolled up incorrectly. Marines roll up their sleeves so that the white underside is visible at the cuff (as shown during this story). Army regulations require that when rolled up, only the outside camouflage pattern is visible.
Military protocol says enlisted men and junior officers first salute all officers senior in rank, after which the senior officer returns salute. Tyler Hudson, challenging two enlisted men in the supply depot after hours while pretending to be a lieutenant, saluted them first - after which they returned the salute. In this role, Hudson (Kene Holiday) actually is a commissioned officer (1ST LT, US Army Reserve), posted undercover as a private.
Major Orlando has scrambled eggs on the bill of his hat. In the military, only Lieutenant Colonel/Commander (silver oak leaf) and above have scrambled eggs on their hats.
