Warning: Spoilers
Pretty good story and a VERY watchable episode! Ben hawking at the bikini dancer is FUNNY! But what's even FUNNIER? Ben leaves his hotel room to see what he can find out. When he returns, the kidnappers have written on his mirror in lipstick, "Leave the hotel again and we KILL her." So what does he do? He IMMEDIATELY ditches the cop in the lobby that's assigned to watch him. Then, he not only LEAVES the hotel, but he goes RIGHT TO the front door of the abductors!!! They hide Michelle and brush him off and tell him to "beat it"!

Humm, Ben must've FORGOT about the warning and I guess the kidnappers evidently did TOO! Too funny!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Ben was great. Michelle and Conrad were fine. But the plot doesn't make any sense.

Some mob lawyer that went to school with Ben almost 30 years ago and whom Ben hasn't any contact with, suddenly appeals to Ben for help. He slips a matchbook into Ben's jacket pocket with a time/date and the name Rose Ballou on it. Ben isn't even aware of this. The mob lawyer is killed and then Michelle is kidnapped. The mobsters want to know what's written in the matchbook and no cops. Ben offers to trade. It seems like a time/date and a person to be assassinated. Ben and Conrad investigate this. It turns out Rose Ballou is a place.

When Ben sees the note scrawled on the mirror, it never occurred to him that the cop down in the lobby was a crooked cop? I mean why did he think the cop was there? He brushed off the police earlier so... And couldn't he have left by a different door? What I mean here, is that Ben was aware he was being watched by the mob. Since there were no other suspicious characters in the lobby...

Ben actually finds the place Rose Ballou and shows up at the door pretending to be lost. The mobsters know who he is and play dumb and send him on his way. Isn't this kind of stupid? If they had Ben right there why didn't they just grab him? He was like right there in front of them. Ben was by himself. No one knew he was there. Lol. Just silly.

The mob boss's plan is this: his accountant was arrested for fraud. He agreed to testify against the mob. He is apparently the target of the hit. But wait, this was just a trick. The mob boss had him pretend to turn on him while he figured out how to get him out of the country. The date/time and the name Rose Ballou were apparently the place and time where the helicopter would be.

But the mob lawyer at the beginning of the episode seemed so upset that they were plotting a murder. I mean, all the mob boss had to do was tell him it wasn't a hit but an escape plot. I guess they had some stupid rule where the lawyer never knows what the actual crime was. For 28 years they had this. Not very believable. Maybe if they had just said this one time what was actually going on...

I mean, It seems to me that the mobsters basically wanted Ben to sit on the information from the matchbook, which he didn't even know he had until they told him about it, and he didn't know what it meant anyway. They just wanted him to be quiet until the date and time had passed. Why didn't they just kidnap Ben instead? Wouldn't have that been a lot easier? Lol. Or, fake a mugging in order to get the matchbook? I mean, since they had a corrupt cop working for them, they knew Ben didn't know anything, initially. And then when they had him right there in front of them at Rose Ballou, they just let him go? Lol. It doesn't make any sense because he could go to the police at any time. And in fact, he spotted Michelle's car keys, and he called the police right away to go to Rose Balllou. But by then, the mob thugs and Michelle were gone. Also, when Ben realized Rose Ballou was a place, why didn't he call Conrad? Conrad could have been the one to pretend to be lost. Ben knew that they knew who he was, what he looked like, because they were the ones to tell him about the matchbook in the first place. But the mob thugs didn't know Conrad and therefore they might not have left the Rose Ballou location.

They had only 4 cops infiltrate the mobster's home at the end? They should have had an army of cops with them. And where was Conrad? He should have been there.

Ben watching the stripper was funny. You kind of get the feeling Ben in some ways, has led a very sheltered life. But upon closer inspection, I find it very unbelievable that with his partner and close friend Michelle, being kidnapped by mobsters, Ben would be acting this way.

Anyway, the whole plot just seemed absurd to me. I often overlook things in tv shows, but here it was very blatant. 5/10.
