A Lousy 8 Bucks!
Sylviastel28 May 2009
Go home, Peg, Al tells her at the shoe store. "I am home, Al" she replies. The family's home is being consumed by termites so the extermination company overcharges them for a tent and the poison to kill the termites. Al jokes that Peggy's mother's muumuu could be the tent and if she doesn't wash it-the odor could kill the termites. For the Bundys, they need to spend the night so Al suggests the night at the shoe store. I don't know why they didn't ask their neighbors the Rhoades. While Kelly scores tickets and back-stage passes for a rock star with a house in Jamaica, she doesn't get tickets for Bud who informs their parents that they have report cards. Kelly is grounded and has to study for a math test so she can't go to the concert but she plans to escape anyway.

A night in the shoe store.
BA_Harrison4 September 2022
Al makes minimum wage as a shoe salesman but there are still a few perks to the job: when his house is sprayed for termites, he and the family get to sleep in the shoe store overnight, saving money on a hotel. And then there's the fact that the store is located next door to an aerobics studio, which leads to a trio of babes coming into the shop to be served by Al (who has only just finished dealing with another hot female customer).

On the other hand, Kelly isn't happy that the family is spending the night in the store: she has tickets to a rock concert, but has been grounded for getting terrible grades. She intends to sneak out once everyone else are asleep but doesn't account for the mall guard dog!

A very funny episode, with Al once again providing most of the laughs thanks to his sexist behaviour ('Let me measure your chest') and hangdog view of life. The anguish on his face, when one of the aerobics women declares that she is a nymphomaniac and would have been all over him if it wan't for Peggy's intervention, is priceless.
