I was surprised how timely this 64-year-old episode has proved to be: Chuck is using the technology of 1960 to achieve what's currently being tried criminally by the clowns creating Deep Fake photos using AI.
A man's been murdered by evil nightclub owner Johnny Seven (an actor destined to be playing heavies ad infinitum) with his girlfriend Dolores Donlon and a cleanup man witnesses. The man's widow comes to Chuck for help, as he's a friend of the police lieutenant on the case and she's worried that Seven will be let off for the crime.
She's right, as Johnny's quickly set free- one witness has died in a car crash and Johnny's girlfriend gives him an alibi. So Chuck decides to use his abilities as a photographer, including altering photos to make them appear incriminting, in order to dreiv a wedge between Johnny and Dolores.
It's a quality episode, and even includes the contrivance of Johnny, with his hoods holding guns on Chuck, forcing Bronson to have a fight with him, boxing gloves and all. Overconfident Johnny was a fighter back in Europe, but Chuck makes mincemeat of him.
The primitive version of Deep Fakes works and Chuck saves the day.
