Richard Dean Anderson in MacGyver (1985)

Goofs

Out in the Cold

MacGyver

Edit

Continuity

The mercs slam their gray van into the dumpster and send debris and a large cardboard box flying, yet when they pull away again, the pavement is clean around the dumpsters.
After MacGyver and Phil have their run in and the ski poles get switched, MacGyver starts skiing back down the mountain. Phil tries to escape from Willie, but as he does, Willie shoots him and he crashes. As Willie is searching Phils' body for the microfilm, MacGyver suddenly appears on the mountain above them and skis past without seeing either of them. There was no way that MacGyver had enough time to ski down the mountain, take the lift back to the top and then ski halfway down the mountain, and pass them both of them again in a matter of a few minutes.
During the opening sequence, Pete Thornton falls forward off of his skis and lands on his stomach. When MacGyver skies up to him a moment later, Pete is sitting on top of his skies with one still attached to his boot.
When MacGyver takes his tofu casserole out of the oven, he uses oven mitts. Only a few seconds later, he removes the lid of the dish with his bare hand. If the dish had really been in a hot oven, there is no way he would have been able to touch it.

Factual errors

Sam Leland says he has "the sword of Socrates" hanging over his head, referring to his impending fate if he doesn't get the microfilm back. The phrase is incorrect and should be Damocles instead of Socrates.
Though a common myth, loud sounds can not set off avalanches in real life.
