This was the final episode to air in the 1970s.
Hawkeye credits Sgt. Zale with constructing the baby's cradle out of an oil drum. Johnny Haymer's final appearance as Zale was earlier in the season, in "Good-bye Radar: Part 1" (1979).
Hawkeye refers to his dress uniform as his "Sunday go to court martial clothes." That's a reference his court martial trail in The Novocaine Mutiny (1976).
When Margaret takes the baby from Klinger after accusing him of being a laundry thief she is walking around holding the infant. On the wall behind her is the diagram Captain Simmons used to demonstrate a new heart technique when he visited the 4077 in 'The Young and the Restless' (7:18). He must have left it for them instead of taking it to the next MASH with him.
