Radar writes home telling of the week's events at the MASH unit. First of all, B.J. gets conned by a patient whose life he saved. The guy sells him a watch with no works. Next, Hawkeye and Frank have been given the unenviable task of checking the feet of everyone in the camp. Most of this is routine, but when Frank is asked, he resists having this done. There is a call from Mrs. Potter but we don't know what she wants and the Colonel is on his way to help some locals with Margaret along. Potter comes back with shrapnel in his rear and it turns out that the call from his wife was a premonition of something bad happening. B.J. gets a surprise when some wounded are brought back into camp. We also find out why Frank was so resistant to his feet being checked. I really like this episode because there are threads holding it together that make it work very well..
